Hi, my name is Chris Santillo and this is my wife Holly. Together we created Ninja Bees the Card Game. It turns out that competition for flowers and the pollen that they provide has gotten fierce. Regular bees can’t hack it. Killer bees can’t do it either. Who can? Ninja Bees! Your Ninja Bee starts in the hive and has to wage a path through uncharted territory to a flower and back safely to the hive. However, at the same time other bees are also looking for the same flowers and are not above sabotaging your path — in fact they relish the chance. We stumbled across this game almost accidentally trying to make a maze game for our youngest child. But what we ended up creating is — though playable by older kids — is challenging enough for any adult. Everybody that has ever tried it has enjoyed playing, in particular people who like challenges, mazes, and puzzles. It sports a pleasant balance between skill and chance and a delicate interplay between forging your own path and sabotaging your opponents’ paths. The rules are simple but the game-play is not. It is infinitely portable and easy to learn. We have successfully brought it to church games nights and bars and every venue in between and taught complete strangers to play in a matter of minutes. You can also play with your friends and family, if you would prefer. Either way, next time you bring a game somewhere, bring a game that no one has ever seen before — because it didn’t exist before now — Ninja Bees!
